Thermal Moisture Zones¶

Below is an example of using the Zones API endpoint to create four-year rolling Thermal Zones and Thermal Moisture Zones Climatologies. A four-year rolling Climatologies means for a representative year, for example 1984, the computation includes the years 1981 though 1984; For 1985 the computation includes the years 1982 though 1985. The images in the videos below are derived from 0.5° x 0.625° MERRA-2 temperature and precipitation data from 1981-2019. The Thermal Zones and Thermal Moisture Zones color palettes follow American National Standards Institute (ASNI)/ASHRAE Standard 169-2020.
